I started practicing yoga as cross training to keep my body healthy. I’ve been a dancer my entire life and shortly after opening my dance studio nearly 20 years ago I realized that if I was going to be teaching everyday I would need to do something to help with the overuse injuries I was experiencing.
My practice slowly evolved and eventually I found myself seeking out yoga classes as a way to keep my mind in balance more than my body. I love to travel and have practiced yoga in every destination I’ve made it to — all over the United States and in various parts of Europe. These experiences have taught me that there is a version of yoga for everyone, but the benefits are the same.
My passion for yoga continued to develop throughout Teacher Training. Combining my life long love of movement as a dancer and dance teacher with the amazing feeling I always have after completing a yoga class.
The desire to open Feels Good Yoga came about organically (although somewhat unexpectedly) in feeling the desire to share my love and passion for yoga with the community I live in — to create a space for people to show up as they are and give themselves the grace of an hour of their day to just be.
My husband Tony and I have lived in Lakewood for 4 years with our two young sons (and our dog Pretzels). Opening Feels Good Yoga has been an incredible way to share the joy of breath and movement with others in the community I love.
